iTero® Intraoral Scanner

Our dentists at The Avenue Dental Centre use the iTero® Intraoral Scanner, a scanner used to create a 3-D imaging of your bite. We project this imaging to help educate our patient and create realistic model of the mouth to prepare for orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign®.

What is an intraoral scanner?

An Intraoral scanner is a scanner used to take a complete 3-D picture of a patient’s mouth and bite. This scan projects accurate enlarged 3-D images of your smile for you and our team to view and discuss your treatment plan in detail.

When would an intraoral scanner be useful?

An intraoral scanner is useful when diagnosing hard to reach problem areas at the back of the mouth. With 3-D imaging, our dentists are able to create accurate 3-D models of the mouth to help plan and execute treatment plans for traditional braces and Invisalign® clear braces.
