Intraoral Cameras

Our dentists at The Avenue Dental Centre use an intraoral camera, to project enlarged images of your smile. We project these images onto a screen where you and our team can view them together. We want to help educate you at every step of your treatment plan.

What is an intraoral camera?

An intraoral camera is a high-resolution tiny camera that fits comfortably into a patient’s mouth.

The camera is able to project accurate enlarged images of your smile onto a screen where you and our team can view them together.

When would an intraoral camera be useful?

We understand that when considering a recommended treatment plan to address specific dental problems, patients can feel frustrated. At the best of times, trying to envision problems you can’t actually see is difficult. With our intraoral camera, we remove that frustration, projecting exactly what our team can see as a full-colour, enlarged image of your smile.

Together, we can use the images to discuss and consider any potential treatment plan. The result is a better understanding of any problems in your smile and greater comfort in understanding the treatment plan that will address them.

If you have any questions about intraoral cameras, contact our team at The Avenue Dental Centre.
